12-Day Gunung Leuser Trekking 

Day 1

Pick up at the airport and go to Batu Katak for the first night

Day 2

Morning after breakfast go to Batu Jonjong a village where we will start our expedition on the tiger territory, tracking and looking for a wildlife. On the afternoon stop to build the campsite and prepare dinner.

Day 3-4

We will continue our expedition in one of the most amazing forest that you never was before, we must climb few mountains until we arrive at the village of toad padang, during our walks, we can see wildlife us Orangutan, Gibbons, Hornbill….Rainforest can be hard but so beautiful. We will every day tracking the territory of the Sumatran Tiger, with luck we can find footprints and maybe hear him. Every day we must build a new campsite and cook, sometimes fishing or collecting wild vegetables for dinner. On day 5 we will arrive in Sapo Padang enclave and we will be there for the next 4 days,

Days 5-6-7-8

In the enclave of sapo padang we will stay at the homestay and trek every day around in the amazing forest home of Wild Elephants, Tiger, Orangutan and Gibbons. Every day we will do a trekking day and come back to the homestay in the evening. For dinner time we will do with the local community. Day 8 Return to Batu Jonjong, this time by motorbike. This night we will sleep in the village with local family and take a break and relax.

Day 9

Visit community of batu jonjong and their natural areas in the evening we will come back to Batu katak, take dinner and rest in our guesthouse.

Day 10-11

Trekking through the karst forest to see amorphophalus titanum and caves, sleep on the campsite near the river and enjoy our last time in contact with rainforest and its inhabitants. Day 11 come back to the guesthouse and take a rest.

Day 12

Return to the airport..
