The Mentawai tribe is an indigenous people who inhabit the Mentawai island in west Sumatra. Is one of the oldest tribes in Indonesia, still main-tains their life style and traditions from their ancestors. Mentawai still using local resources from rainforest.
During your time with the tribe, you will be immersed in a completely unique experience, the possibility of being on a remote island with one of the last tribes of Indonesia. Learn their customs, share moments of fishing and hunting for food, collect fruits, learn crafts and perhaps observe ancient magical rituals used for healing. This experience will be carried out by the local guide Morenzs, a direct descendant of the tribe. Expert in his territory, he will accompany and take care of you during your trip.
